Required Projects
There will be two required projects and one portfolio due per nine weeks. Each will be worth 100 points. In addition to required projects and portfolios you will also have daily class activities and a choice project list to work on. You should always have something to do that will provide you the experience to enhance your design skills displayed in your portfolio.
Project 1: Photo Web Story Using Adobe Spark
Due: Friday, September 16, 2016 by the end of class

The Photo Web Story, using Adobe Spark, is a multimedia project made up of 10 to 15 images based on a theme. Each individual image must be edited and adjusted for color, brightness, sharpness, cropped, and resized using Photoshop. You must turn in a .psd file of all photos used showing your photo edits.
Requirements:
- Must have an account with Adobe. You can create one easily by visiting the Adobe Spark page.
- Use at least 10 images, and no more than 15
- The photos, taken as a whole, should tell a simple story or make a statement.
- Photos must be ones that you have taken (not ones downloaded from the Internet)
- Include titles, subtitles and captions as they fit your story
- Submit your project by sharing the link generated with your teacher (sharing details will be provided in class)
- A .psd should be submitted to show edits of all photos used (submission details will be provided in class)

Rubric for Grading This Project
Design - 40
Do the images taken as a whole, say make a statement or tell a story? Did you choose good images to communicate your idea? Did you choose images of decent quality and composition for this project? Did you arrange the photos in proper order reflecting the story as a whole? Did you use original images of your own? Not images that were downloaded from the Internet.
Technical - 45
Did you edit the images properly in Photoshop? Is there evidence that you took into consideration the color, brightness/contrast and adjusted the images appropriately? Did you crop the images based on the rule of thirds, golden spiral or another known technique? Did you maintain the correct proportions for all images? Were the correct .psd files submitted as requested.
